Loretta Ann Smith, 68 of Elkton, MD, died after a long illness on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.
Born in Wilmington, DE, on February 5, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Gunner and the late Elizabeth Nieminen.
She was a member of North East Church of God, North East, MD. She loved reading her bible and worshipping the Lord. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Most of all she loved the time spent with her grandchildren.
Loretta is survived by her husband: Harold Smith, of Elkton, MD; her children: John Price and his wife Teresa of Rising Sun, MD, Ron Price and his wife Priscilla of Nottingham, PA, Don Price and his companion Tammy Carpenter of North East, MD and Charlene Price- McMonigle and her husband John Ryan of North East, MD; one brother: Hank Lehtma of Baltimore, MD; her grandchildren: Megan, Adam, Ron, Samantha and Logan Price and John McMonigle; 2 great grandchildren and 1 on the way.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Richard Lehtma and Ray Nieminen.
