Loretta Alice Johnson, age 61, of Bemidji, Minnesota entered eternal rest on January 30, 2014 at the Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji with her family by her side.
Loretta was born on April 12, 1952 the daughter of Reuben and Bonnie (Klein) Burr. She married Larry Johnson on September 26, 1970 they had 2 children Carmen and Allen.
Loretta really enjoyed summer time when she could get out on the pontoon and cruise around Cass Lake with family and friends from Camp Pennington. She also enjoyed going for drives around the countryside and 4 wheeler rides with Larry. In the winter, she was very crafty doing her crocheting, quilting and making the most beautiful doilies with beads. When there got to be about two feet of Ice on Lake Bemidji (so she knew it was safe) she could be found in the fish house… OUT fishing Larry!
For many years Loretta worked at the Pete’s Place’s in Bemidji and for the last seven years she was at Pete’s Place South working with her daughter Carmen and granddaughter Chelsey. She loved being able to help and talk to the customers and friends she made along the way, this was something she enjoyed doing every day until she retired at the end of June 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Reuben and Bonnie, and one sister Carol Martinez.
Family that she leaves behind are her husband Larry, son; Allen and his wife Amy Johnson of West Fargo, ND, daughter; Carmen and her husband Dave Huber of Laporte, MN. Brothers; Stan and his wife Cindy Burr of Solway, MN, Art Burr of Bismarck, ND, Wayne Burr of Bismarck, ND, sisters; Wenda and her husband Miguel Rivas of Tyler, TX, Marcy and her husband Roy Mills of Perham, MN. And her pride and joy are her 5 granddaughters Chelsey, Madison, Jaymie Huber, Megan and Emily Johnson.
