Lorene Holmes Rose RhodesLorene Holmes Rose Rhodes, age 86, passed away December 17, 2015 at Riverview Nursing & Rehabilitation. Lorene was born March 1, 1929 in Pickens, Oklahoma, daughter of Elige and Clara Holmes. On January 10, 1946, Lorene married Wilber Rose, who preceded her in death on May 10, 1974.In February, 1978, Lorene married Charles E. Rhodes, who preceded her in death on April 14, 1993. In 1988, Lorene and Charles moved to Osage Beach, Missouri. Lorene resided there until her return to Boerne in 2011. Lorene was an avid gardener, loved to fish, and crochet afghans.Lorene is survived by one brother, Silas Holmes of Broken Bow, OK; daughters, Barbara Bellinger and husband Jim of Lakeway, Washington, Bonnie Sue Frantzen and husband, Paul, of Crocker, Missouri ; sons, Donnie Rose, Troy Rose and Diane Huebner, all of Boerne; grandchildren, Mark Mills, Jessica McCourt, Angela Rose Wilson, Jonathan Rose and wife, Kristi; three great grandchildren, Kharisma, Lincoln, and Summer; as well as many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Lorene was preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.
