Loren Wilford Koenig, 78, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015, at 8:23 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital, Huntington, IN. Mr. Koenig was born on February 3, 1937, in Fort Wayne, IN, to Herbert C. and Esther (Spreen) Koenig. His parents preceded him in death. Loren married Marlene Snyder. She survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
He was a 1955 graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School. He was a mechanic and race car driver. He was an avid Karaoke fan. He also enjoyed his remote control airplanes.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Scott (Christina) Koenig, Fort Wayne, IN, Timothy A. Koenig, Huntington, IN, brother, Tom (Wanda) Koenig, Missouri City, TX; two grandchildren, Kassondra Moon, and Kyle Koenig; and 4 great grandchildren.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Koenig; and one sister, Gloria Snell.
