Lorel Dean Harvey, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 4, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
L.D. was born April 19, 1932, in Mesa, Arizona, to Kindred Elijah Harvey and Eva May Hastings Harvey. He grew up and attended schools in Blythe, California.
On February 28, 1953, he married Peggy Ann Weiss in Mesa, Arizona. L.D. and Peggy made southern California their home where L.D. worked several jobs until he got his General Contractor License for Construction. Peggy passed away March 1, 2013.
L.D. served in the US Navy during the Korea War on the USS Rombach De 364. L.D.
L.D. is survived by his children, Lorie Harvey, Leanne Harvey, and Burnetta Roberts of Idaho Falls, ID, John David Harvey of Ammon, ID, Lisa Harvey Richardson of Cody, WY, Jay Dee Harvey of Ucon, ID, and Michael Dean Harvey of Shelley, ID; sisters, JoAnn (Emmett) Dorough of UT, and Evelyn (Jim) Curry of UT; brother, Al (Chris) Harvey of CA; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers, Denzil Harvey, Ray Harvey, and Donald Harvey.
