Mrs. Lorean Murchison, 97, of 612 Garden Street, Sanford died Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at her home.
Lorean Cox Murchison, daughter of Elizabeth Cox Rollins was born September 6, 1907. “Miss Mack” as she was affectionately called joined Mt. Pisgah Lee FWB Church at an early age. She met and married the late Carsy James (CJ) Murchison and later moved her membership to New Zion Baptist Church. She loved her church and proudly served as Sunday School teacher, deaconess, Financial Secretary and Choir Manager. She was a member of the Brothers & Sisters Union, the Happy Hour Senior Citizens Club and James Hill Chapter #3 Order of the Eastern Star.
She leaves to cherish precious memories: three children, James Murchsion (wife, Sally) of Baltimore, MD, LaVernie Murchison of the home and Allen Williams of Fayetteville, NC. She also leaves 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, 8 nieces and 3 nephews.
