Loran Al Barr, 77, of Peru, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Orchard View Rehab in Princeton. Mr. Barr was born June 16, 1933 in Gardner to John and Nellie (Pope) Barr. He married Charlotte Huston on January 3, 1953 in Wilmington. She passed away February 23, 2011.
He was a United States Army veteran serving from 1954-1956. He worked as a mechanic for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Peru and coached and managed Peru little league baseball teams for 20 years. He is survived by 3 sons Timothy Barr of LaSalle, Terry (Julie) Barr and Doug (Tina) Barr both of Peru; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Charlotte, a daughter Vickie Sue Barr and a brother Donald Barr.
