Loraine Elizabeth Haller
Loraine was born February 6, 1925 in Lisbon, North Dakota to Edwin and Clarice (Slagle) Staudt. She attended St. Aloysius Catholic Boarding School. She played drums in high school and in the VFW Drum and Bugle Corp. She attended her nurses training at St. Luke Hospital in Aberdeen South Dakota and worked as an under graduate.
Loraine and her son Marlowe moved to Denver in 1950. Where she worked at Children’s Hospital and several doctor offices. She went on to work at Miller Super Market until her and her husband at the time purchased Andy’s Liquor Store in Keenesburg Colorado. Eventually selling the store, Loraine moved to Brighton Colorado where she managed Ale House Liquors for more than 20 years. Loraine moved back to Denver to be near family and worked at the Valli-HI Motel as a Desk Clerk before retiring.
Loraine is survived by her son Marlowe (Sharian) Thorfinson of Denver, three grandchildren: Rebecca (Steve) Vonfeldt of Nebraska, Michael (Pamela) Thorfinson of Lakewood, Tawnya (Kevin) Bennett of Commerce City. Five Great-Grand Daughters: Randi (Zach) Bazylak, Samantha (Alec) Thorfinson, Alex (Peanut) Thorfinson, Shelby Bennett and Megan Bennett. Several Staudt and Pfeiffer nieces and nephews as well as many adopted families that include the Reddick’s, the Ringler’s and the Swanson’s along with many more.
Loraine is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
