Lora L. James, age 86, of Good Hope, WV passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at WVU Hospital. She was born April 12, 1929 in Salus, Arkansas, the daughter of late James (Jim) Rylee and Verlie Harderson Rylee.

Lora is survived by six children, Sue Riffle & husband, Eddie of Weston, Jerry James of Good Hope, Sandy Collett & husband, Terry of Dailey, Debbie Jenkins of Good Hope, Teresa Vaughn & husband, John of Good Hope and Vanessa Bond & husband, Michael of Lost Creek; eighteen grandchildren, Donnie Hinzman & wife, Clarinda, Ginger Somerville, Jerry Alan James, Carol Pifer & husband, John, Melissa Callahan, Daniel James & wife, Ciera, Andrea Feathers & husband, Logan, Tracy Ratcliff & husband, Paul, Brian Collett & wife, Tisha, Jessica Jenkins, Lisa Mays, Joshua Jenkins & wife, Heather, Jason Jenkins, Joseph Jenkins, David Vaughn & wife, Erin, Daniel Vaughn & wife, Hollie, Adam Bond & wife, Shanna and Clenta Bond; fourty-three great-grandchildren and eleven great great-grandchildren.

Lora married Doyl D. James on December 1946 who preceded her in death august 2012. Lora was also preceded in death by a sister, Alda James; a brother, Clayton Rylee; and a son-in-law, Elwood Jenkins; two grandchildren, Sherrie Hinzman and Scottie Hicks; and a great great-grandchild, Brantley Todd Callihan.

First and foremost, Lora loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Love of family was her pride and joy. She loved singing enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, quilting, crafts, cooking and gardening. When you entered her door she always wanted to feed you and if you were lucky, you left with a jar of homemade jelly.
