Lola Virginia Ferguson, long time resident of Taft, passed away early Friday the 12th of May with her loving husband at her side.
Born May 8, 1940 in a small town in West Virginia to Gail and Virginia Levitt. Virginia met her husband, Clarence at 15 and the two were inseparable for the next 62 years.
Virginia loved being a mom so much she had thirty-two foster children in and out of her house through the years. During that time Clarence and Virginia had one child of their own, Clarence “Corky” Ferguson. She was a mom to all the neighborhood kids and had a heart of gold.
She is survived by her two brothers (Paul and Johnny Levitt) and two sisters (Bonnie and Joan), her husband, Clarence Ferguson, son (Corky Ferguson), adopted son (Charles Ferguson) foster sons (Tim Slaughter, Richard Shepard, Rick Gordon), foster daughter (Brandy Kinnard), and several other foster sons and daughters as well as her loving grand-daughters and grand-son who brought great joy to her later years.
