Lois N. Walters, 76, of Quakertown, died Sat, June 7 in St. Luke’s Hospital- Bethlehem. Born in Quakertown, she was the daughter of Margaret (Hemmerle) Kern Donchez, of Coopersburg and the late Robert Kern. After graduating from the former Coopersburg High School in 1955, she worked at Coopersburg National Bank, she later volunteered as a reading aide for the Quakertown School District, then becoming a Title I reading aide. Prior to retiring in 2013 she worked as an earned income tax collector for Haycock Township. In addition to her mother, she is survived by son David, wife Patrice, Trexlertown; daughter Diane, husband James, Vienna, VA.; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Molly, Luke and Madelynn; brother David, Allentown; and sister, Sally Saveri, husband Joe, Coopersburg.
