Lois (Ryan) Mackerman, daughter of Tracy and Edna (Haifleigh) Ryan, was born October 28, 1916 in Newton. She was a graduate of Newton High School. Lois was united in marriage with Roy Mackerman on June 24, 1943 in Newton.
Lois worked for United Telephone for 41 years, retiring in 1977 as Chief Operator.
Lois died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. She was 92. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roy.
Those left to honor Lois’ memory include Jo Anne Steinberger of Newton, Le Ann Steinberger of Newton, Tim Supino of Newton, Donna (Jeff) Jackson of Newton, Michelle Savage of Colfax, and several nieces and nephews.
