Lois Martin Potts, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 19, 2021, at her home in Newnan, GA surrounded by her family. She was born on October 29, 1941, in Dandridge, TN to the late Noah Gregory Martin and Flora Ann Roberts Martin. Lois worked for the Clayton County School System and retired after 34 years of service. She was an encourager and loved spending time with others. She had a great sense of humor and a special way of laughing through life’s changes, whether good or bad. Lois enjoyed decorating, reading, shopping, and tending to her roses. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Along with her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, William “Bill” Potts; sisters, Jean Rainwater, Mary Wilkerson, and Shirley Wyatt. She is survived by daughters, Krystal Doherty and her husband Mark, Kim Stockard and her husband John; step children, Kenny Potts and Vicky Tinsley. She is also survived by grandchildren, Sarah Baggett and her husband John, John Teague, James Teague, Victoria Teague; great grandchildren, Stockard Baggett and Brimm Baggett; her sister, Dorothy Hamby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
