Williamsport, MD – Lois Margaret Taylor, 77, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 after a short courageous battle with cancer Lois went to be with her Lord and Savior at Mertius Medical Center surrounded by her family, friends and Staff.
Born, April 15, 1937 in Williamsport, MD to the late Charles Rufus “Pete” and Janet Mildred Garrett Jessup.
She was a 1956 graduate of Williamsport High School Williamsport, MD.
She was employed by the Washington County Board of Education at Williamsport Elementary School as the Manager of the Cafeteria. She was previously employed as a Cosmetic Manager at Eyerly’s at the Valley Mall Hagerstown, MD and was employed as a Cook at Williamsport Retirement Center until her retirement.
After retirement she was involved with the Kinderhaven Daycare at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Williamsport, MD where she sang on the Choir and was a member of the Women’s Fellowship Committee.
Lois was also a member of Williamsport Homemaker’s, Women’s Garden Club of Williamsport, MD, Red Hat Society Williamsport Chapter where she started the Chapter, Potomac Playmakers Hagerstown, MD and also sang with Hagerstown Choral Arts.

Husband: Terry Neal Taylor married August 24, 1956 of Williamsport, MD
Daughter: Teresa L. Taylor and her partner Andrew Robertson of Williamsport, MD
Son: Michael E. Taylor and his wife Gail of Halfway, MD
Brother: Charles W. Jessop, Sr. and his wife Joan E. of Smithsburg, MD
Grandchildren: Phillip Taylor, Austin Taylor, Amy Taylor and Sarah Robertson
Sister In Law – Susie Jessop of Williamsport, MD
Many nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by a brother Gary Jessop and a grandson Joshua Hull.
