Lois Marie O’Leary, 73, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born August 28, 1948, in Lafayette to the late George and Pearl O’Leary
Surviving are her sisters to Ruth Ann Johnson of Lafayette; Patricia Hensley, her fiancé, Brian of Wisconsin; Kathleen Hutton (John) Kindred, Avon; Cynthia Bialek, Texas; Monica O’Leary, Lafayette; one brother who preceded her in death, Christopher O’Leary; and special friend, Karen Wailes.
She graduated from Benton Central HS and from Lafayette Business College. Lois worked at Montgomery Wards and was a dedicated employee at Greater Lafayette Public Transportation Company, retiring after 32 years.
She enjoyed time on her front porch swing at her home, bird watching, admiring her yard ornaments, and feeding a chipmunk friend.
She liked Rock and Roll music, reading the newspaper, gel painting mandalas, and entertaining her cat. She was an avid Purdue University Supporter.
She inspired all who knew and loved her for the courage and perseverance she displayed during a very long illness.
