Obituary of Lois M. Eichinger nee Duffy
Age 101
Born July 18, 1915, died peacefully June 19, 2017.
Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Julia Duffy; husband, Fritz and sons, Tim, James and Bill. Survived by son, David (Sparky) (Vicki) and grandson, Matt. Lois was close to cousins, Eileen, Helen and Mary, the sisters she never had. In turn, their children and grandchildren graced Lois with friendship and enriched her life. Lois lived independently in her Mendota Home until last year when a hip fracture necessitated her move to New Perspectives in Highland Park. She never complained, was funny, and maintained a force of strength and spirit to the end. She truly was a joy to be with and she charmed her visitors and caregivers. We are so grateful for the love and care she received from staff at New Perspectives and from the staff at Allina Hospice and we thank them all from the bottom of our hearts. We invite you to join us for a celebration of her life at The Pool & Yacht Club, Wednesday, June 28 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
