Lois L. Lacey, 83, of Tecumseh, passed away Friday morning, January 24, 2014 at the Pawnee Manor in Pawnee City, Nebraska. She was born to William and Bertha (Heidzig) Norvell on August 8, 1930 in Auburn, Nebraska. Lois was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran church in Auburn. She attended rural Nemaha County elementary and Auburn High School.
Lois was united in marriage to Willard “Bill” Lacey on February 21, 1948 at the Johnson County Courthouse in Tecumseh. To this union three children were born. Willard passed away February 27, 1989.
Lois was a fulltime housewife and mother. In 1973, she began her employment with the Tecumseh Care Center, later known as Belle Terrace where she was a Certified Nursing Assistant and later was promoted to Restorative Care Nurse in the Physical Therapy Department. She retired from her career in 2003.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Lacey of New York City and Gary Lacey and wife Susie of Tecumseh, daughter, Joyce Lacey of Tecumseh, grand-daughters, Missy Harms and husband Jeff of Sterling and Marcie Lacey of Urbandale, Iowa, great-grandchildren, Jasmin Lacey, Cassidy Lacey, Lauren Lacey, Jessa Harms, Samuel Harms and William Harms.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willard “Bill” Lacey and beloved grandson, Jason Lacey.
