Lois Jane Bishop Thomas, 65, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away in her home surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, January 23, 2014. She was a graduate of A.H. Parker High School and worked in hotel management for over 36 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr Terrance Bishop Sr and Mrs. Mattie L. Bishop. Two brothers, Arlester Bishop and Thomas Bishop, son-in-law, Darryl B Parker and sister in law Alberta Bishop.
Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years Mr. George Thomas Jr, two daughters, Ms Bernice Parker of Riverdale, Ga and Carol D Thomas of Birmingham, Al. One son,Michael G Thomas(Rosalind) of Birmingham, Al. Three brothers, Terrance Bishop Jr( Helen)of Ellenwood Ga, Joe L Bishop(Brenda) of Birmingham, Al and Erskine Bishop of Douglasville, Ga. Three grandchildren, Kandace Barnes(Travis) of Atlanta, Ga, Jordan Thomas and the appending arrival of Brenden Thomas. Two great grandchildren, Justin Parker and Kamora Thomas. A special nephew whom she raised, LaDarius Frazier and a devoted friend of 36 years Ms Anita Horton. Numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.
