Lois (Hoey) Ilene Ambrose, 82, died of natural causes in her home in Boise Idaho on December 17th 2015.
She was born in Kimberly Idaho on September 16th, 1933. The daughter of Harry Yocom and Beatrice Taylor.
She grew up in Kimberly and later graduated from Twin Falls high school. She had 3 sisters, Barbara Goertzen, Helen Neilsen, and Dorothy Brandon. She had one brother William Hall.
She married William Ambrose on February 10th, 1952. They resided in Buhl Idaho and together they had 3 children. Michael Ambrose, Rhonda Henderson and Patricia Ambrose. Her grandchildren are Russell Ambrose, Scott Henderson, Brandi Henderson, Preston Tarter and Benjamin Tarter. Great grand children are Roscoe Ambrose, Rilee Tarter, Damon, Kaylii, Kaden, Keegan and Layton Henderson and Tristan Hendrix.
Lois loved dogs. The most memorable were Genny and Molly. She moved to Boise in 1987.
She worked as a grocery checker for Erb Brothers market for 3 years and for Albertsons for 19 years.
She will best be remembered by her witty sense of humor, her quirky superstitions, and her meticulous house keeping.
