Lois Y. Grange
Lois passed Aug. 8, 2011 of natural causes. Born in Des Moines Iowa, March 23, 1925, Lois moved to Chandler AZ. in 2004 to be near family. Lois married Ray in 1943 and celebrated 68 years together before he passed on June 15, 2011. Lois & Ray were a team in all aspects of their life together. Lois would reminisce about playing the Clarinet in the Lincoln High School Band, Roller Skating weekly as a teen (where she met Ray), living across the alley from her Grandparents and sharing a large family garden with them. When Ray enlisted in the Navy, Lois and a girlfriend drove Rays brand new car to San Francisco so she could be near when he had a weekend leave. She lived in a boarding house and fondly remembered the kindness of her landlady who took good care of her. Lois dearly loved Ray’s mother who taught her everything she knew about gardening, and canning vegetables.
