Southbury – Lois Ellen Johnson Pallotolo, 83, died March 12, 2011 gracefully and surrounded by loved ones. Lois was born in Lake Placid, NY on June 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Gladys and Guy Johnson. She was married to Salvatore “Sam” Pallotolo for 42 years. They raised their two children in Schenectady, NY and Westerly, RI.
Lois was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. The oldest of ten children, she took on her role as family matriarch very early, helping to raise and support her brothers and sisters. After she married, she was the glue that held her family together, raising her two children and working as a lab technician.
Lois relocated to Southbury, CT in 1986, where she resided with her daughter’s family, and quickly became “Nonnie” to everyone who met her. Whether it was offering a helpful hand to someone in need or the bucket full of advice and wisdom she so quickly shared will us all, Nonnie was the one person you could always count on to be there for you.
