Lois Ann (Lady) Boruff 75, of Bloomington passed peacefully into eternity on February 21, 2017, surrounded by loved ones.
Lois was born in Indianapolis, the 4th of eight children, to Daniel and Thelma (Osborne) Lady on September 18, 1941. The family moved to Brown County when she was a child, and there she lived out her formative years.
Lois married Ray George in July 1958. The couple had three children: Steven (Becky) George of Bloomington, Cheryl (Terry) Long of Freetown, and Tami (Brad) Freeman of Bloomington. After the couple divorced, Lois married James Boruff on March 25, 1972. Together they had a son; Justin L (Andrea) Boruff of Bloomington. James preceded her in death in 2014.
Lois spent her life serving those around her. Whether her siblings, her parents, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, or doing patient care, both in and out of her home, she was a loving caregiver who poured herself out for others.
Survivors include her four children, a step son, James D. (Danielle) Boruff of Bloomington, 17 grandchildren, 1 step grandson, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren, two siblings; Larry (Jean) Lady and Linda (Gerald) Bettner, all of Bloomington, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Lois was a strong, but loving woman who will be greatly missed.
