Lois A. Wilson – age 90, of West Bend, gained her heavenly wings on August 11, 2019 at West Bend Health and Rehab in West Bend, Iowa. Lois (Madsen) Wilson was born December 9, 1928, in Pocahontas, Iowa. She was the daughter of Nels and Amy (Rassler) Madsen. She had three siblings. She graduated from Pocahontas High School. On April 13, 1950 Lois married Don (Brick ) Wilson and together they raised two daughters. Lois was known for her kind and gentle nature. She always thought of others before herself. Being a Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother brought her great joy. Lois also held a very special place in her heart for the many foster children she was able to care for over the years. Some of her most enjoyable moments were when she was a Tour Guide at the Grotto of the Redemption. She was able to share the story of Christ’s life with people from all over the world. Lois was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in West Bend.
She is survived by her daughters Lori Lembke and Diane (Tony) Streit, grandchildren Michelle McDonald, Lindsey (Justin) Zinnel, Courtney (Ryan) Fannon, Logan (Amber) Streit, great-grandchildren Brayton McDonald, Oaklee, Pryor and Locklyn Zinnel, Ava Fannon, Jade and Andi Streit. She was proceeded in death by her husband Don (Brick) Wilson, her parents Nels and Amy Madsen, her siblings Doris Ernst, Arlene Reinders, and Robert Madsen.
