Lois Wilridge was born in Galveston Texas, May 12, 1923 to her parents Cora M. and Walter W. Briggs. She was raised in Beaumont Texas with her sibling’s, sister Marjorie and twin brothers James and Julian Briggs. She attended public schools in Beaumont and graduated from Charlton-Pollard High School in 1942. In 1943 Lois moved to Denver, Co along with her mother and daughter Patricia Ann. Later she married Madison H. Foster and to this union a daughter Nadine Lizette Foster was born. Lois trained at Duncan’s Beauty College and received her license in cosmetology. Lois was a licensed practical nurse. Later she received her Certification from the State of Colorado as a Retardation Technician at the Ridge State Home and Training School for Retardation.
