Lois A. Nurkka passed away on February 2, 2021. Lois was born to Lilly and Al Rustvold in Nashwauk, MN on November 24, 1933. She grew up in Nashwauk and attended Hibbing Jr College, graduating from St Cloud State College. She and Glen were married in 1957 in the Nashwauk Lutheran Church. Lois then taught in Cosmos, MN, Leadville, CO and Nucla, CO prior to giving birth to her first child, Hal. She then lived in Arvada, CO and Minneapolis, MN prior to moving to Phoenix in 1965. The family then moved to Scottsdale in 1967 where Lois lived for the remainder of her life. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Al.
She is survived by her children Hal, Rick and Stacia. Granddaughter Kristyn, several nieces and nephews and ex-husband Glen Nurkka.
