Virginia C. Logsdon, 85 of Germantown, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Countryside Manor in Aviston. She was born December 5, 1924 in Albers, daughter of Frank and Caroline (Monken) Kennett. She married John H. Logsdon November 1, 1940 in Wright City, MO and he preceded her in death on October 2, 1994. Mrs. Logsdon is survived by a daughter, Darlene (Don) Peltes of Germantown; two grandchildren, Anita (David) Crabtree and Debra (John) Hemann all of Germantown; four great-grandchildren, Megan Crabtree, Travis Hemann, Kaitlin Crabtree and Cortney Hemann; a brother, Daniel (Viola) Kennett of Albers; and a sister, Eleanora Mueller of Germantown; a sister-in-law, Virginia Kennett of New Baden and a brother-in-law, Woodrow W. LaCaze of Albers.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Master Sergeant John H. Logsdon, USAF, retired, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Kennett and Franklin “Booby” Kennett; a sister, Margaret L. LaCaze; sister-in-law, Adele Kennett and brother-in-law, Victor Mueller; and seven of her husband’s brothers and two of his sisters. She was a member of St. Bernard Parish and Ladies Sodality and the American Legion Post 1026 Auxiliary in Albers. Mrs. Logsdon was a homemaker.
