Lloyd will be remembered for his kind, gentle nature.  Though soft-spoken and humble, he had a great sense of humor and a thirst for knowledge.  He was loving, patient beyond compare and adored by his eight great grandchildren. He endured many wild Wulf Cousin Camp adventures alongside them. His love for the land and his strong work ethic kept him working on the farm until the day he was called Home. While he will be missed terribly, Lloyd lived life to the fullest and enjoyed many years of life, love and laughter.

A lifelong resident of the Red Cloud area, Lloyd attended Indian Creek Rural School and graduated from Red Cloud High School in 1948 where he was active in band and FFA.

Lloyd married his high school sweetheart, Ilene Maye Tupper, on February 22, 1951, during a double ring ceremony along with her twin sister, Irene Faye Tupper and Richard Hansen in the Methodist Church in Red Cloud. Ilene and Lloyd were blessed with a daughter, Bonnie, and a son, Bradley.

The couple farmed and raised livestock in Webster County for 52 years with Irene and Richard.  After all the Hansen and Wulf children were grown, Lloyd and Ilene, and Richard and Irene shared a home on the farm. After Ilene passed away in 2003 and Irene passed away in 2009, Richard and Lloyd continued to live and work together on the farm until Richard passed away in June, 2017.

Lloyd’s life revolved around agriculture. His first trip to Lincoln was to attend the State FFA Convention and he purchased his first tractor in 1948 – an H Farmall that cost $1,800.  His dedication to farming was rewarded when he was recognized as Outstanding Young Farmer-Rancher in 1962, received Honorary FFA Chapter Farmer in 1975 and was a state winner of the 1989 National Soil and Water Conservation Award Program.

In addition to farming, the Wulf and Hansen families volunteered regularly at First United Methodist Church and the Red Cloud Lions Club. Their presence at pancake feeds and Bingo spanned decades. Lloyd worked Bingo just last month during Street Car Days.

Lloyd received his 50-year pin recognizing his outstanding contributions to Lions Club, and served as president from 1973-74 and again in 1981-83. He was the Cabinet Treasurer for District 38-R from 1985-86. Lloyd also served on the Board of Directors for the Lower Republican Natural Resources District from 1979-1998 and was proud to have his son Brad fill his position in 1998.

He discovered his favorite volunteer activity around the time he turned 80: assisting his granddaughter, Dr. Keri Wulf in her veterinary practice.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ilene Wulf; his brother, Lovel Wulf. Left to treasure his memory is daughter Bonnie Sibert and husband Jack of Lincoln, NE; son Brad Wulf and wife Katy of Red Cloud; four grandchildren; Nicole Sibert Faaborg and husband Jeff of Hood River, OR; Tony Sibert and wife Sarah of Lincoln; Keri Fangmeyer and husband Casey; and Paige Bolin and husband Justin, all of Red Cloud; great grandchildren Hayden and Josie Faaborg, Hood River, OR; Piper and Aurora Sibert, Lincoln; Avery and Camrie Fangmeyer; and Mason and Jake Bolin, all of Red Cloud; a brother-in-law Milton Tupper and sister-in-law Ramona Wulf; other relatives and many friends.
