Lloyd W. Moring, 91 of Cedarville died February 25, 2013 at Stephenson Nursing Center.Born March 29, 1921, in Carroll County, he was the son of John A. and Gertie (Reints) Moring.
Lloyd was a graduate of Shannon Community High School in 1939. On May 5, 1943 he married Johanna K. Stratmann at Silver Creek Reformed Church in German Valley. He was a member of Faith United Methodist church.
He served in WWII from November, 1942 to December, 1945. He was a part of the 539th Ordnance Tank Maintenance Company.
Upon his discharge from the army he enjoyed many years of farming in Stephenson County.
Survivors include his two sons, Rodger (Linda) Moring of Paris, Tenn., and Ronald (Kathy) Moring of Lena; one daughter, Susan (Scott) Leverton of McConnell; one sister, LaVonne (Eugene) Vogt of Forreston; one sister-in-law, Harriet Gerloff, of Lena; five grandchildren, Jamie (Douglas) Folk of Pleasant View, Tenn., Brenda Coelho of Wauconda, Valerie (Robert) Schubert of Vancouver Washington, Douglas (Noelle) Moring of Los Angeles, Calif., and Kyle Leverton of McConnell; and five great-grandchildren, Alex, Micah and Talia Folk of Pleasant View, Tenn, Carolina Coelho of Wauconda, and Huxley Shubert of Vancouver, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and two brothers, Clarence & Mervin.
