Lloyd H. Meyer, 76, of Jacksonville, IL died Friday, November 13, 2009, at his residence. He was born June 13, 1933, in Jacksonville, IL; the son of John Herman and Alma Lucille Francis Meyer. He is survived by a brother, J. Samuel Meyer (wife, Mary Alice) of Bluffton, SC; a sister, Anna Lucille Mansfield George (husband, Lloyd) of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Eugene Meyer.
Mr. Meyer was a graduate of White Hall High School and served with the US Army during the Korean War. After working a few years at the Jacksonville State Hospital and Walgreens Drug Store in the Lincoln Square Shopping Center, he was employed by Capitol Records/EMI for 25 ½ years, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed walking and music.
