Mr. Frowick died May 8, 2015, at St. Josephs Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norfolk.
Lloyd was born on April 23, 1939, in Buffalo Center, IA, the son of Lloyd E. and Lucile (Mathison) Frowick. He was raised in Leland, IA, and graduated from Forest City High School in Forest City, IA. He continued his education at Waldorf College in Forest City and graduated from barber school in Omaha in 1959.
On December 27, 1961, Lloyd married Caroline Hintz at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce, NE. He and Caroline raised three sons: Larry, Gary and Jerald. Caroline died on March 13, 1998.
Lloyd entered the US Army on October 5, 1961. He earned his honorable discharge on October 2, 1964.
Upon moving to Norfolk, Lloyd began his barber career at Lloyds Barber Shop. In the 60s, Lloyd also operated a barber shop in Meadow Grove. He retired in July of 2014 after barbering for 52 years.
Lloyd married Shirley Schulze on June 29, 2003. They enjoyed many years of square dancing. Lloyd also enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and golf.
His family, grandchildren, great grandchildren were the joy of his life.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children and their spouses: Larry and Lisa Frowick, of Tyler, TX, Gary & Kim Frowick, of Norfolk and Jerald Jerry Frowick, of Norfolk; his step children: Kevin and Michele Schulze, of Gretna, and Rita and Andrew Klug, of Battle Creek; his sister, Karen and Dennis Sandersfeld, of Mankato, MN; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and five step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Caroline.
