Those left to honor Lloyd’s memory are his wife, Peggy of Newton; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Shelley Dodd and David and Liz Dodd, all of Newton; his 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and David Blackett, Sharon and Howard Neef, and Sheena and Troy Pritchard, all of Newton; 16 grandchildren; his 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Dodd of Canton, Texas; and his sister, Twyla Versteegh of Searsbro, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia Fenn; and his 4 brothers, Willis, Collin, Joseph, and Harlan Dodd.
Lloyd worked at the Maytag Company for 30 years, retiring in 1978 as a sheet metal foreman. He then has owned and operated Dodd’s Trash and Recycling since.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy and had also served for 5 years in the Army National Gaurd.
