Lloyd B. Jones, Sr., age 77 of Rensselaer passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at his home. Lloyd moved to Rensselaer after living 57 years in Lafayette, Ind. He was born September 8, 1936, in Beckley, West Virginia, the son of William Jones and Effey (Shewesberry) Jones Lloyd was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was a member of the VFW, the NRA and loved hunting. He found peace at church and was a devoted family man. Lloyd’s first marriage was to Loretta Abner Jones who preceded him in death. He then married Nancy Ricks Jones who passed away September 16, 2013.
Surviving are five children, Debra (Roy) Marr, Martinsville, Ind., Rebecca Nine, Warsaw, Ind., Kimberly (Steven) Godsey, Kentucky, Marcie Grerard, Rensselaer, Ind. and Lloyd B. Jones, Jr., Colorado Springs, Colorado; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and his siblings, Jean McHugh, Las Vegas, NV, Donna (David) Lane, Florida, Louie Jones, Cleveland, OH and Anita Thomas, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Loretta and his wife Nancy, three brothers, William, Bud and Fred Jones and two sisters, Betty Ramsey and Barbara Jones.
