Llova Lynn Hickman, 63, of Centennial passed away Thursday, November 14, after a three-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.
She was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado on March 16, 1950 to Harold and Betty Hunt. Llova grew up in Fort Morgan and graduated from Fort Morgan High School. Growing up, she enjoyed dancing and participating in her school’s pep club.
After high school, Llova moved to Greeley to attend UNC and then worked for their Department of International Relations. Llova later moved to Denver to work as a secretary at CDOT, where she met and fell in love with her husband Gordon. They were married on August 20, 1978. Not long after giving birth to their two daughters, Lisa and Lori, they moved to their current residence in Centennial. Llova held various job positions over the years, but her primary focus was her family.
Llova was an incredible Mother who was actively involved in her girls’ schools and activities, and was a leader for Lisa’s Girl Scout troop. She always put family and others first.
Llova leaves a legacy of generosity, compassion, strength and laughter.
She was preceded in death by her father Harold “Harry” Hunt of Fort Morgan. She is survived by her mother Betty Hunt of Fort Morgan; husband Gordon Hickman of Centennial; daughter Lisa Williams of Firestone, her husband Martin and their two sons, Alexander and Jacob; daughter Lori Lam of Firestone, her husband Johnny, and their daughters Abigail and Alyssa; her brother Larry Hunt of Centennial, his wife Idette, and their son Bryan; and numerous other family and friends whom she loved.
