Ernestine “Bunch” Collier was born on August 29, 1928, in Morgan County, Alabama to the late Pearl Collier and the late Alma Banks Collier.  She departed this life on May 10, 2017 at River City Healthcare and Rehab in Decatur, Alabama.

Bunch attended the Cedar Lake School and Morgan County Training School in Hartselle, Alabama.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and joined St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a member. She served as a member of the Senior Choir, Sunday School Secretary and was a diligent member of the Usher Board for 48 years.

Bunch worked as a caregiver and domestic employee for many years. She also served as a custodian for St. Peter M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Katherine Wilkerson; four brothers, Leamon Collier, Buster Collier, Julius Collier and Pearl Collier, Jr; one niece Deborah Wilkerson Ellison.

Her memory will live on through: her nieces and nephews,Phyllis Boulden; Shirley Morrow, Wanda (Albert) Elliott, Karen Wilkerson, Willis (Annie) Wilkerson, James (Gloria) Wilkerson, Elmer Wilkerson and Rochelle Collier all of  Decatur, AL, Mercie Powell of Waynesboro, VA and Yolanda McKelvey of Austin, TX; one godson, David (Rebecca) Hokett of Decatur, AL; other friends and relatives.
