As of March 7, 2013 the world has suffered a great loss. Lisa Steelman Brown, a beloved family member and friend left this world to be with her Heavenly creator and dwell in the house of the Lord.
She was born October 30, 1961 and as a native of Salisbury, NC graduate from North Rowan High School in 1980. Lisa, who to many people was known as “Bird” enjoyed a short but full life of 51 years on this earth filled with the love and happiness of being with her family, friends, and her two small dogs which she cherished.
Lisa was the daughter of Carol L. Steelman and the late Donald E. Steelman and the oldest of four siblings.
Others left behind to celebrate her life and cherish her memory include: mother, Carol L. Steelman; brother, Terry L. (Paula) Steelman of Rockwell; sisters, Barbie S. (Ken) Stoner of Rockwell and Melanie C. Henderson of Salisbury; nieces, Brittany L. Henderson of Charlotte and Megan D. Steelman of Rockwell; and nephews, Joshua C. Coggins of Salisbury, Jeremy W. Coggins of Huntersville, Justin M. Stoner of Rockwell, and Bobby Kearly III of Wilmington.
