Lisa Denise Brigance-Darrow, 58, of Holland, formerly of Kalamazoo, passed away May 15, 2019. She was born August 2, 1960, in Kalamazoo to the late William Oliver and Rosalie M. (Sheppard) Brigance.
Lisa cared deeply for her family and friends and was generous to all. She was genuine, selfless, and a devoted Christian. She loved gardening and animals, notorious for always finding a stray. Lisa was spontaneous, spirited, and empathetic—she wore her heart on her sleeves. She was also known to offer wise advice, though it may be unfiltered and unsolicited at times. Lisa was a music lover and a #1 fan of Tom Petty. She enjoyed making jokes and had a contagious and boisterous laugh. She was known to have the best handwriting and adored laundry—especially the softener cycle.
She was preceded in death by a nephew, Bill Bodnar, and her parents.
She is survived by her sons, Dustin and Lance Darrow; sisters, Gloria Jean (George) Bodnar of Portage and Tamara Rose (William) Bone of Bowling Green, Ohio; brother, Robert E. Nelson of Tennessee; nieces and nephews, Rhonda Bodnar, Steven Bodnar, Sara Cherepnin, Kara (Zach) VanDenHeuvel, Sandra, and William O. Brigance III; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
