Lisa Beth Landes, age 33, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Kobacker House after a valiant fight with brain cancer. A loving and beautiful young woman whose infectious smile, compassion, strength and genuine concern for others left the world a better place. Lisa is survived by her mother, Kathy Landes (Richard Ryan); father, Norman (Pamela) Landes; brother, Michael Landes; grandfather, Jack Russell; aunt Linda Preskar, uncle, Bruce Russell, step-sister, Lauren (Jeffrey) Bolton; step-brother, Jason (Angela Mercado) Schweitzer; numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graduate of Bishop Watterson High School class of 1998, The University of Dayton, and the Ohio State University where she earned her Masters in Speech & Hearing Pathology. Lisa’s genuine desire to help others led her to a professional career beginning at Encore Rehabilitation followed by National Church Residences to provide care, comfort and encouragement to her patients. Lisa’s spirit, gentle soul, humor and contagious laugh captivated you, but it was her strength, courage, grace and acceptance that left a lasting impression to the vast number of lives that she touched.
