FAYETTEVILLE- Ms. Lisa Anne Ray our beloved sister, daughter and friend, a most talented independent singer, songwriter with a heartful voice passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 12:24 p.m. from a rare terminal illness called Multiple System Atrophy.
Lisa was born April 12, 1961 in Durham, NC. Lisa was a Professional Singer and had her own record label Lisa Ray Sunshine. She started singing at an early age and traveled all over the world. She was a Data Entry Specialist at Tar Heel Home Healthcare. Lisa attended ECPI Community College and received her associates degree in Massage Therapy. Lisa proudly served her country in the United States Army.
Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Connie Lee Ray; nephew, Warren Raymond Walker.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Kitty Underwood; step-father, Peter Thomson; sisters, Sandra Lee Brown (William), Karen Bongardt, Melanie Thomson, numerous loving aunts, Mary Saitta, Elise Goss, Teresa Dyer and several loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.m.m.
