Lisa A. Mitchell, 49, Huntington, IN passed away on July 30, 2016 at 3:26 p.m. at Parkview Regional Hospital.
She was born on October 31, 1966 in Huntington, IN to Fred L. and Patricia Ann (Farley) McElhaney. Her parents preceded her in death. She married Robert Mitchell in August 1988 and he preceded her in death in August 2000. She is also preceded in death by an infant son Stephen Mitchell.
Lisa graduated from Huntington North High School in 1985. She completed her nursing degree at Lutheran School of Nursing. She worked at Heritage Pointe in Warren and also at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Lisa was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. She loved learning about anything Medical. She loved to learn new things all of the time. Lisa loved to sew, knit, and crochet. She was very creative and artistic. She loved her daughter and grandson very much, she would do anything for them.
She is survived by her daughter, Mariah A. Mitchell and her grandson Tristan Mitchell, both of Huntington, IN. She is also survived by her four brothers: Ted (Janet) McElhaney, Huntington, IN; Mark (Dianne) McElhaney, Benson, AZ; Jim (Tena) McElhaney, Huntington, IN; and David (Vicki) McElhaney, Huntington, IN.
