Lionel Mercier 87, formerly of Woonsocket, passed away Saturday April 16, 2011 at the Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne FL. He was born in Blackstone, a son of the late Arthur and Gloriana (Beaudoin) Mercier. He was a WWII veteran and a member of the American Legion, both in Palm Bay and in Woonsocket Post 85.
He is survived by his wife of sixty five years, Lucille M. (D’Anjou) Mercier, and his children Raymond Mercier and his wife Diane of Palm Bay, and Dennis Mercier and his wife Susan of Woonsocket, two grandchildren Kyle Mercier of Nashua , NH and Dawn Mercier of Port Charlotte FL, and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Jeannette Barrie of Woonsocket.
