Lindsey Desdamona Yvette Askew-Johnson, Esquire, 34, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from complications with lupus.

A Tampa native, Lindsey was born on December 11, 1987, to Ronnie and Lucinda Askew. Lindsey graduated from Middleton High School in 2006, where she was the Senior Class President and a dancette.

After graduating from high school, Lindsey continued her education at Spelman College earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a minor in Japanese.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Lorrell M. Askew; grandparents, Tom and Evergreen Neal, Jr. and Maxine Davis; great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Neal, Sr.; uncle, Edward Melton; godmother, Evelyn Dupree; godfather, Howard Bell; and mother-in-law, Coretta Hairston.

Lindsey leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Dominiquo; children, DoMonique and Jayce; parents, Ronnie and Lucinda Askew; brothers, Larry Askew, Sr. and Lamont Askew; sister-in-law, Devisha Long (Jeremy); special nephew, Jaden Askew; grandniece, Leilani Falls; aunts, Sharon Davis and Patrice Joseph (St. Gelatin); uncles, Larry Neal, Sr., David Melton, (Teresa), Willie Davis, Jr. (Tina); Gaston Ireland, (LaToya), John Davis and Robert Davis; aunts-in-law, Berenice Jamison, Regetta Jones and Tyana Alfred; uncles-in-law, Marvin Johnson, Mark Johnson and Tony Johnson; grandmother-in-law, Katie Mae Johnson;  godparents, Alphonse and Caroline Stewart and Jimmy and Jennifer Clyde; goddaughter, Melody Owens; and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
