Linda Herr, 74, of Boerne, was born on September 6, 1948 in Johnson County, Indiana to Virginia and Robert N. Tharp, and passed away on September 18, 2022 after a long illness.
Linda was well known to members of every Chihuahua Club and Toy Dog Club in the state for her ability to always procure and produce a wonderful array of trophies for every show-giving club she belonged to. Everyone that came to the show and participated walked away with an armful of useful and clever prizes that never ceased to amaze us all.
Linda’s love and passion for the Chihuahua breed was obvious in everything she did. She selflessly worked for hours to support her dog clubs, and made great sacrifices in her personal life to go above and beyond for the benefit of others.
Linda was preceded in death by her life partner of more than 32 years, George Edward Sheffield; and by her parents, Virginia and Robert N. Tharp. She leaves behind her sister, Karen Porter (Matthew); her brother, Paul Tharp (Lynn); her nephews, Robert and Matthew Tharp; many other loving family members; and a large group of friends who will always be grateful for the opportunity to have shared her walk on this earth. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
