Linda S. McBride age 75, of Ashland passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 5, 1945 in Marietta, the daughter of the late Francis Merle Eugene and Bertha (Hensel) Cline. Linda was a 1963 graduate of Wellsville High School. Linda had been a resident of Ashland for over 50 years. She retired from National Latex. Linda had been an active member of the VFW, AmVets, Eagles Auxiliary, and the Moose Club. Linda enjoyed socializing and traveling which helped her excel in selling her Tupperware and Avon products. She was a very giving person who enjoyed helping any way she could and had unconditional love for her family and friends. Linda was an avid Bingo player.
Survivors include her sons, Francis (Virginia) Piatt of Ashland, Richard (Denise) Piatt of Savannah; her daughter, Marlene (Scott) Batdorf of Bailey Lakes; her grandchildren, Mackenzie (Mark) Miller, Dustin Piatt, Jessica (Tyler) Jewell, Justin Piatt, Brian Piatt and Seth Batdorf; her 6 great grandchildren; along with her sister, Teresa Cline of New Matamoras.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Richard Arthur Eugene Piatt in 1994; her 2nd husband, William McBride; a great grandson, Malachi Piatt; brothers, Thomas “Jr.” Dye and Loren Cline; and sister, Nancy Dye.
