Linda was the Office Administrator for the UAW Local #499 at New Venture Gear from 1967 until the plant closed.
She was a long standing member of the Ivy Rebekah Lodge #381 in Anderson. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and computer activities.
Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Martin, (husband, Les) Cowan; her mother, Sara King Abel, Elwood; two sisters, Karen Abel, Elwood, and Nancy Bowen, Marion; two grandchildren, Jacob and Jennifer Martin, both of Cowan; nieces and nephew, Sara Bowen, Phoenix, AZ, Ross Bowen, (wife, Michelle), Indianapolis, and Laura Bowen, Greenwood.. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, George “Danny” Abel, Jr.; and her loving cat
Tory and dog Roscoe.
