With sadness in our hearts, we announce Linda P. Stowers of Sharpsburg, GA passed peacefully in her sleep on November 28, 2021. Linda was born on December 22, 1948, the daughter of Bill and Grace Steely.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother, Jimmy Steely; her son, Mac McBurnett; and her husband, William Stowers. Linda was loved very much by her family and friends. She was a musician and a member of the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame, and co-founder of the Country Picker’s Reunion. Linda is survived by her two daughters, Angela Mathis and her husband Keith, and Pamela Callahan and her husband Jim. She was Nana to her grandchildren, Richie, Brianne, Amanda, Garrett (Keegan), Daulton, Mackenzie (Jon), Austinn, Casey (Sydney), and Jordan; and three great-grandchildren, Jesse, Teagan, and Alyssa.
