Linda Payne, 60, of Centralia, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Linda was born December 29, 1959, the daughter of Leroy Boester and Betty (Niermann) Boester.
She married Charles Dean Payne on July 31, 1978, at the Mt. Catherine Christian Church in Woodlawn, IL, and he survives her. In addition to her husband Charles of 41 years, she is survived by three children: Amy Payne of Centralia, Dona Payne of Centralia, and Charles G. Payne of Centralia; one grandchild: Payton Brown-Payne of Centralia; three siblings: Robert Boester and his wife Elaine of Centralia, Judy Thurston and husband Galen of Beckemeyer, IL and Michael Boester and wife Carrie of Rochester, NY, and; also surviving is several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents: Leroy and Betty Boester; and several aunts and uncles. Linda had a passion for any kind of animal. She enjoyed playing crossword puzzles and enjoyed listening to 1950s and 1960s music. Most of all, Linda cherished the time she spent with her family.
