Linda Borresen King Martin died peacefully surrounded by family at daybreak on November 13, 2010 at the age of 70.
Linda is preceded in death by her daughter Lindy Sue King, and her parents, Alfred Borresen and Edna Borresen Ashley.
Linda is survived by her brother, William Borresen (Jerry), her children, Kerri Culotta (Jake) of Birmingham, Alabama, Jeffrey King (Sidney), Cheryl Strick (Danny) and Shannon Hunter (Patrick), and her grandchildren: Jake Robert Culotta III, Peter Culotta, Mary Catherine Culotta, Rachel Culotta, Ben Strick, Josie Strick, Sam Hunter, McKelvy Hunter, Iska Hunter and Temple Hunter.
Linda said her greatest accomplishment was having her children, but she also achieved a BS from Middle Tennessee State University, won many golf tournaments, appeared in dozens of theatrical productions, hosted a radio talk show titled “Talk of the Town” in Scottsboro, Alabama and owned the first health food store in Scottsboro, Alabama in the 70’s called “Nature’s Way”.
She will be remembered by her family and friends as a bright mind, a gifted athlete, and a loving mother and friend. Linda and her family wish to thank the staffs of Big Springs Specialty Care Center in Huntsville, Alabama, Huntsville Hospital and Hospice of North Alabama for their compassion and care during her long illness.
