Linda Mae Smith, 68, of Anderson, passed away April 8, 2016 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born on November 9, 1947 in Anderson, Indiana and resided all of her life in Anderson. Linda graduated from Frankton High School, Class of 1966. She retired as a teacher’s assistant for Frankton Jr. Sr. High School. She was a member of Kingston Avenue Baptist Church, since 1965, and also worked over 40 years in the Children’s Ministry. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Linda is survived by her loving spouse Jim Smith of Anderson; daughter, Chantell (Terry) Detling of Anderson; son, Frank (Leslie) Smith of St. Louis, MO; sister, Lucresia (Larry) Storm of Anderson; brother, Gray (Sally) Wells of Anderson, IN; Sister-in-Law, Brenda Smith of Dayton, OH; 5 Grandchildren, Jared Smith, Rylan Detling, Gavin Smith, Delaney Detling, and Julia Smith. Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by father, Joe Wells; mother, Uela Wells.. Visitation will be held Monday, April 11, 2016, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, IN. Services will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016, 11:30 am at the funeral home with Pastor Jamie Woodyard officiating.
