Linda May (Harlow) Tassinari, age 79 of Plymouth, breast cancer survivor, passed away on April 5, 2022 at Benchmark Assisted Living in Plymouth after a courageous 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the wife of David Tassinari, and the daughter of the late Oliver and Mildred (Lapham) Harlow. Born on April 25, 1942 in Plymouth, she was a graduate of Plymouth High School. She went on to study education at Bridgewater State College where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree, and Cambridge College where she earned her Master’s Degree. A passionate and beloved teacher, Linda initially taught first grade at Cold Spring School in Plymouth, and later at Manomet Elementary School until she retired in 2001. She was a faithful and devoted member of First Baptist Church in Plymouth where she sung in the choir and played the piano. She and David were married there on November 21, 1970. In addition to the First Baptist Church, Linda also sang with Sweet Adeline’s for many years. She also loved the ocean and spending time at the beach. Going to the theater to see a show with David was one of her favorite pastimes. They especially enjoyed the Priscilla Beach Theater. She was a generous contributor and member of the Fragment Society and consistently helped the homeless. Linda loved to shop and loved Friday night dinners with friends at the Charlie Horse in Kingston. She also loved playing board/trivia games with Joan, Gloria, Fran, Joyce, and Joy. A devoted fan of the Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots, she was particularly fond of Larry Bird, Robert Parish, David Ortiz, Tedy Bruschi, and Tom Brady. Later in life, her passion was babysitting her granddaughter Olivia, as well as spending time with her in-law’s and their families (Flaviano and Jeanne DiFalco and Charlie and Judie Tassinari). Besides her husband David, Linda will be forever missed by her son Jason Harlow Tassinari and his wife Andrea of Plymouth, and her beloved granddaughter Olivia.
