Linda Leigh (Brown) Baker, age 73, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away June 24, 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

To the woman and mother who taught us everything we know and is woven into everything we do, every single day.

She was the proud mother of 3 children, Bret Baker (Pamela), Jennifer Baker Gagne (Sean), and Jessica Baker Tomamichel (Daniel). She is survived by her children, nine grandchildren, and her sister, Debra Dillingham (David).

She was the ultimate Dental Hygienist of nearly 40 years. No one compares to her knowledge, professionalism, and perhaps mostly, her gentle kindness to anyone in that chair. She was the best. She could fix almost anything by herself. She could stretch a dollar further than anyone you know and would give you her last dollar if you needed it. She always kept an immaculate home and taught us to do the same. She made the absolute best soups and stews, taught us how to save anything and everything and how to get a stain out of anything. She loved bright colors and never left the house without “putting her face on and a pair of earrings.” She never missed a game, concert, event, holiday, or anything important to her family.

She always showed up, without fail, to every single holiday with gifts for everyone.  When bad weather came through, she was the very first to call or text with “batten down the hatches!” She could iron like it was nobody’s business! She loved to sew and could create or fix anything! She grew with the times and was great with technology. She was 100% committed to her Lord and Savior even when her health was failing and was always the ULTIMATE PRAYER WARRIOR. She had a beautiful voice and loved to offer it back to Lord by singing in choirs and even a ladies trio for several years. She always wanted to hear” all of the details” of anyone’s story, as she would say, so “she knew how to pray.” She loved flowers and plants and always knew how to grow and nurture them perfectly.

She was kind, understanding, protective, believed the hope in everyone, and was the “glass half full” kind of woman. She was the most health conscience person you have ever met.  She knew everything, years before anyone else and taught us SO much. She never came over empty-handed, whether it was kitchen cloths, towels, or the newest gadget she found that she just had to share. She was the easiest person to make laugh even if she was upset about something. She was full of life, energetic and always excited to hear about her children’s lives. We wish we had her longer for many reasons one being so we could finally take her to Hawaii. I guess streets of Gold will have to do. We love you Linda, sister, Mimi, and our sweet momma!!
